I’m Ms. Abinaya, Author and Psychotherapist based in Coimbatore.  I hold Masters in Social Work, specialized in Medicine & Psychiatry from Amrita University and PG Diploma in Mindfulness-based Counseling with Embodied Presence jointly offered by Just Being-St. Mira's College for Girls. I'm actively involved in the project Karkai Nandre, by Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation from the year 2024 and currently honored to be a part of the expert committee of ANT Foundation & Charitable Trust. Alongside my private practice, I have been co-nurturing a couple of parent-support groups since 2021 and continue to support parents and educators every day. I thoroughly enjoy working with school students and young adults and the groups, holding the space for them and sometimes challenging their beliefs, through workshops and guest lectures. I have authored the children's book, 'Little Yello Bird' and co-authored 'Drops of Nurture'. I work with individuals, couples, parents, nursing humans, and families both online & offline, to help them feel less alone in their journey. My clinical experience includes Mental Health, Pre-natal & Postnatal Counseling, Lactation counselling, Couples therapy and Parental Counseling and my practice is trauma-and oppression-informed, queer & neurodivergence affirming.
